Born and raised in Texas, Bart landed in Canada in 1999 while working for a technical staffing company. He is married to Elizabeth, who is originally from Sudbury, Ontario. The Blairs have three children; Sarah-lynn (19), Silas (7) and Ephraim (6).

Bart studied music at the University of Texas, after which he spent 6 years working regional and touring theatre companies around the U.S. and Canada. In 2002, after serving 2 years as a volunteer worship leader at Grace Community Church in Mississauga, Bart joined the staff as the full time Worship Pastor and Arts Director.

Bart has recorded 3 full-length albums and 3 five-song EPs, all of which are available for download on iTunes.

In 2010 Bart and Elizabeth began to sense God leading them to take on a new venture in their life mission. GBCanada, the organzation responsible for planting Grace Community Church in 1998, has entered into preparations for its 4th Canadian church plant, this one in Medicine Hat, Alberta. In early 2011 the Blair family will move to "The Hat" and join the team already assembling for a purpose of launching a new church in the fall of 2011.

Growing up in McKinney, Texas Bart attended Westside Church of Christ with his family. Bart developed a clear understanding, as a boy, of the sacrifice Jesus had made for him and at the age of 12 Bart publicly delcared his faith through water baptism.

As with many young people, however, when Bart reached his teeen years he began to test life's boundaries and was soon far off the rails of his faith.

In 1994, after years of avoiding church and everything else God-related, Bart connected with a group of men at Bethany Community Church in Laurel, MD who began to help him rediscover his faith in Jesus and to understand the kind of relationship God desired to have with him.

Shortly thereafter Bart recommited his life to following Jesus and has worked to live his life for God's purposes since then.
